Production notes
The 2023 Cuvée Sagittaire Pinot Noir is comprised of clone 667 and Calera positioned on the shale dominant soils of the Domaine Messier property. Clusters were picked by hand before complete destemming. The fruit underwent a cold maceration for five days before fermentation spontaneously began. Gentle and minimal remontage was carried out once a day before press-out at dryness after 13 days of fermentation. Press and free-run portions re combined and settled before being put to barrel for 14 months in 30% new French
Oak barrels. The wine was gently filtered before bottling.
